We at The Mark Forester Foundation, first and foremost, would like to thank everyone involved in The Mark Forester Price of Freedom Race and the JAG 28 Birthday Walk/Ruck. This event has highlighted Mark’s legacy and all the lives he has impacted. It has been a manifestation of all that is good about this great country and its citizens. Mayor Sunseri, the Haleyville Police Department, the Haleyville Fire Department, Haleyville City Schools, churches and all those who have volunteered have made this event special for all involved. We are grateful for each volunteer and participant over the last 14 years.
It is with great sadness to inform you that we will not be having the JAG 28 Birthday Walk/Ruck and The Mark Forester Price of Freedom Race this year. This was a decision that was not made lightly. These events have shown that the American spirit is still alive and well, and honored Mark and his love for his country, his family, his faith, and his hometown of Haleyville. None of this would be possible without the support of many amazing and faithful patriots. We wish to thank all of you for your continued support.
While there will not be a race or walk this year, The Mark Forester Foundation remains active and determined in its mission to honor Mark through scholarships to Haleyville High School seniors and donating to other projects and charitable means. We will continue to have fundraiser events such as The Mark Forester Foundation Charity Golf Tournament (currently every August). In addition, we sell Mark’s biography and Mark Forester Foundation clothing on our website, which contribute to the success of the foundation.
Once again, thank you to everyone involved in these fundraisers. We cannot properly convey our gratitude with words to those who have supported and continue to support The Mark Forester Foundation.
